[Board] monthly outreach report

Good morning,

Outreach continues to push progress forward.  Galen has setup a new
community calendar that will allow us to make events easier to find and
maintain.  Access has been given to the interest group leaders. The
Outreach committee will be following up with the group leaders once they
have had time to add events and start the process of making sure it is
linked where it needs to be and how to access it is spread far and wide.

Some new blog posts and press releases for the Evergreen Seeds project are
ready to go and we are collecting places to send the press releases.  Right
now three episodes have been done with Ron Gagnon, Amy Terlaga and Elaine
Hardy.  More will be created but no concrete plans exist for those yet.

Twitter/X engagement has continued to drop but Facebook has been steady.
We, along with the rest of the world, continue to monitor social media to
see where it makes sense to commit efforts.  I will be creating "sandbag"
accounts on some additional platforms just to make sure we have the name
sandbagged.  Also, we will be adding the accounts we are actively
supporting to the web site.

Speaking of the website, Stephanie continues to prep it for an
overhaul behind the scenes and I know she hopes to have it done before the
Hack-A-Way.

Speaking of that, the Hack-A-Way is rapidly approaching in October so more
coordination of that will ramp up next month.
