[Board] Fwd: News from Invest in Open Infrastructure - July 2023

Hi,
Upon skimming the prospectus, it looks like TEP can plausibly apply. Since
Ruth as a board member and president has volunteered to assist, and since I
see some advantage to applying as an organization, I would like to make an
email motion: To wit:
That the Evergreen Project authorize Kathy Lussier and Ruth Frasur, as well
as any other volunteers that may arise, to apply to the Open Infrastructure
Fund in 2023 (
https://investinopen.org/blog/open-infrastructure-fund-pilot-cfp/) on
behalf of The Evergreen Project.
(As a discussion point: since TEP has no staff, I think it is safest to use
a board motion to authorize that somebody speak for TEP in this matter is
the safest way to go, since if the grant is awarded, it will come with
obligations binding TEP. However, in the medium/long run, I could see the
board establishing a framework for a board committee to write grants more
autonomously without each and every grant having to be the topic of a board
motion).
Regards,
Galen
