<div dir="ltr"><div>Just wanted to send an update about this. I have not yet opened voter registration, because I wanted to think through the technicalities of only having two candidates. I'll open it today.</div><div><br></div><div>Here are our candidates: <a href="https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/193VTsPf9CNVGPL2x14dJP4hoHOgfeWrG_G98RpHt-C4/edit?usp=sharing">https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/193VTsPf9CNVGPL2x14dJP4hoHOgfeWrG_G98RpHt-C4/edit?usp=sharing</a></div><div><br></div><div> It looks like in the past, we have done "approval" voting for such cases: <a href="https://www.opavote.com/methods/approval-voting">https://www.opavote.com/methods/approval-voting</a></div><div><br></div><div>In a nutshell, this means we can have voters choose to approve one or both candidate (though I wish there was a way to have them approve the slate). As long as they each receive some votes, they will be considered approved.</div><div><br></div><div>I will bump all the dates up a week in the timeline. I'm also thinking I'll announce the nominees to the general list when the election starts instead of when voter registration opens to give us a little time to collect email addresses while discussing this approach (if we need to).<br></div><div><br></div><div>Does this sound like a good plan? Anyone have any objections?<br></div></div><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">On Tue, Jan 7, 2020 at 5:31 PM Jessica Woolford <<a href="mailto:jwoolford@biblio.org">jwoolford@biblio.org</a>> wrote:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex"><div dir="ltr"><div>Hi all,</div><div><br></div><div>I would like to iron out some board election details ahead of next week's meeting.</div><div><br></div><div>It looks like we will to fill 2 positions, both for 3 year terms, correct?</div><div><br></div><div>I have the Opavote account information from Terran.
