[Eg-oversight-board] Conference Question for pre-conferences

Hi,
I forgot to bring this up at the EOB meeting.
The conference committee is planning to make a decision on extending some
sort of perk to those who volunteer to present pre-conferences.  As you
know, our pre-conferences are different from the regular track programming
in two ways.  The pre-conference sessions are usually 4 hours in length and
attendees have to pay an additional cost to attend.  These sessions are
often like little mini training camps and we need to find the most
qualified presenters/instructors we possibly can.  We are asking a lot from
these presenters and the conference committee feels that they should be
compensated in some way. We'd like to extend an offer of free conference
registration to those selected to present the pre-conference sessions.  We
don't need a vote from the Oversight Board to proceed but I would love to
hear any positive or negative reactions to this before we go further.
