[Eg-oversight-board] Outreach committee request for EOB meeting

Hi all,

I added some more specifics under Outreach Committee business on the 
agenda. I will have two items of business:

I have written up a draft press release for the 2.11 release that is due 
today. Please feel free to let me know if you have any suggested changes 
or additions before I send it out. You can also comment directly in the 
document.

Also, on behalf of the Outreach Committee, I would like to request the 
use of $120 for the purpose of booking meeting space at ALA MidWinter so 
that we can hold another community meetup at the MidWinter meeting. The 
meetup will be included in the published program as well as in the 
online schedule. Since MidWinter will be held in Atlanta this year, I 
expect there will be several Evergreen users available to facilitate the 
meetup in addition to those who will be attending as participants.

As I reported at the July meeting, we had a good turnout at the Orlando 
meetup, with attendance from several people who are not heavily involved 
in the community and may not have the latest information about the 
project and the software. I think it's a good use of our funds. A 
consistent presence at ALA allows us to strengthen ties with existing 
users who we may not see at Evergreen conferences while also letting 
non-Evergreen users know that there is an active community using, 
supporting and promoting Evergreen.
