<div dir="ltr">Hi Yamil,<div>Since our next meeting is next week I appreciate that you volunteered to lead the meeting.</div><div>According to the EOB Rules of Governance Section 2.9 (Removal and Resignation):</div><blockquote style="margin:0 0 0 40px;border:none;padding:0px"><div>* A Board member may resign from the Board. Resignation from the Board must be in writing and received by the Secretary or President of the board.</div><div>* In the event of a vacancy on the board due to removal, resignation, or death, the Board shall appoint a replacement to serve the remainder of the term.</div><div>* Within seven (7) days of removal, resignation, or natural expiration of an expired term, the Board member must deliver (at his/her expense) all documents and other property rightfully belonging to the Board in good condition to the Board member’s successor, or to a person or place designated by the Board.</div></blockquote><div><br></div><div>So, it looks like we need to vote to appoint a replacement for Ben, it's not automatic succession.</div><div>And Ben needs to resign "in writing" and that has to be acknowledged by the Secretary. I just wanted to write to let you know that I have accepted a position<br>
with a new company Praxair and will no longer be working for<br>
Bibliomation after January 12, 2016.<br>

As part of my transition, I will be resigning from my position on the<br>
Evergreen Oversight Board and will pass my Chair leadership duties<br>
over to Yamil Suarez, current Vice Chair.<br>
<br>
My time with the Evergreen Community has been amazing, having learned<br>
so much and being a part of this wonderful adventure with all of you.<br>
I am sure that the community will go on to even greater heights, and I<br>
will cheer on!<br>
