Hi all,
Several AIG meetings ago I had promised to send out the script that we use
to automatically delete purchase orders, and it took awhile to dawn on me
that that's just in our PINES contrib Git. I was making it way too
complicated.
Here's the commit that has our deletion script:
https://git.evergreen-ils.org/?p=contrib/pines.git;a=commit;h=f99a615ef7ca05d8cca71a666620cbfc20735386
I also set up a report to run automatically once a month to find any
pending purchase orders older than 45 days, and usually there's one or two
in there that folks clearly meant to delete. Like they changed the name to
"delete" but didn't do the lineitems, or they misspelled "delete." I just
fix those myself since there's never very many.
Happy to answer any questions about it--we've been using it for about a
year and are pretty happy with it. It runs every night and picks up
anything that meets the criteria.
