You can also just ask the vendor what information they need. Like, do they
need to get your barcodes? Shelving location?

I included a screenshot of what a somewhat minimal EDI set is for us. This
is for B&T and I have them set a vendcode for all our accounts (a suffix,
in their terms). So you might not need the BUYER_ID_INCLUDE_VENDCODE
attribute. So other than that, this is pretty standard as to what I
include. If my account needs to pass something like call numbers, etc. I'd
have to fiddle with it more, but this is generally what I include. You
know, standard caveat that I'm making it up as I go along, so someone else
might see something I've done wrong. I use this on almost all our B&T
accounts and orders go through so I guess it works okay, though. :)

Oh, and I also will just send a sample EDI file to the vendor and let them
tell me what it's missing. I just tell them I want to send over a sample
EDI test order, email them the PO ID, and let them tell me if they need
anything else or if anything is missing. Then I make sure to confirm with
them that the order is cancelled, and cancel it on our side. I did that
with pretty much every vendor when we moved to using EDI Attributes; I just
told them we were moving to a new type of system and I wanted to be sure
they got everything they needed. They were all pretty happy to check it for
me.
