Hi Elizabeth,
I have two, depending on what they need/want. The first one is to only find
line item details/line items where there is a cancel reason that contains
"Delayed". It doesn't include things with a status On-Order. I included
screenshots of the display fields, filters, and what it looks like when you
run the report. Those are the "Backordered Only" screenshots.
The Definition ID in the filters is because I want to see the Title on from
the line item. I also included in the display fields to see the current
copy status of the real EG barcode, and whether that's deleted or not. Then
when you run the report, all you need to do is select the Ordering Agency
from the PO.
The second report will find all outstanding line item details--that is,
anything that's unreceived or has a cancel reason that keeps debits (i.e.
Delayed). This is the "Outstanding" screenshots. Honestly, the filters on
this one are more flexible when finding Backordered items, because it
hinges on using a cancel reason that keeps debits which is an essential
setting when setting up cancel reasons. The first one hinges that the
cancel reason includes the word "Delayed", which it might not. For example,
if your system always has "Delayed" in your backordered cancel reasons,
either one will work. But if your cancel reason is simply "Backordered",
for example, the "Backordered Only" report filters wouldn't work because
the word "Delayed" isn't in the cancel reason. It's still early, I hope
that made sense.
In case it didn't, here's a screenshot I mocked up really quick:

My first report would find items that use the "Delayed: Backordered" reason
(row #7). But if your cancel reason label is set up like row #17
("Backordered"), it wouldn't. Whereas the "Outstanding" report would find
either one, because they both use Keep Debits=Yes (far right column).
Again, this may be a moot point if you're using the stock cancel reasons,
but I wanted to call it out just in case.
