Yes, acquisitions would make sense for you even though you don't
select centrally.

Based on what you described you'd want to do ordering via EDI for
Midwest and B&T.

The change in your workflow would actually come after your selectors
are done. Once you have your cart on your vendor website you would
download the bib records but not place the actual order through the
vendor website. Next you'd upload the bib records into Evergreen to
create your purchase order which you would then send to the vendor
through Evergreen via EDI. Once the PO is created you can go back into
the vendor website and delete the cart.

We've created a detailed workflow for our libraries that you can see
here -
http://docs.libraries.coop/acquisitions/_recommended_workflows.html#_workflow_upload_marc_records (Most of our libraries have some EDI vendors and some non-EDI vendors they order from so their workflow changes depending on which vendor they're working
with.)

You can set up Evergreen to load item information your vendor includes
in the bib records such as library, price, quantity, fund, shelving
location, circulation modifier, etc. which speeds up the ordering
process as staff just need to check the information rather than enter
it manually.

Hope that helps. Let me know if you have further questions,
