[Evergreen-admin] Problem with libdbi

I am finally coming into the homestretch with getting Evergreen up and running. When I ran the Windows client I got a "There was an error testing this hostname" message.
When I ran Settings-tester.pl, almost everything looked good but at the bottom of the listing I got an error message:
"libdbi PostgreSQL driver not found in Shared library path. You may need to edit /etc/ld.so.conf or add an entry to /etc/ld.so.conf.d/ and run ldconfig as root.
Using "locate libdbi" I found that there are libdbi.* files in four or five different directories.
Does this mean I have to add each one of those directories to ld.so.conf.d?
How do I do that, do I create a new file in ld.so.conf.d that lists those directories?
What would an entry look like within that file?
What do I call that file?
I am sure these are pretty basic questions but I am new at this. I appreciate any guidance.
