Hi Alex,
I'm also interested in joining and Wednesday is probably the best time. My colleague Vyacheslav is not able to come to Vancouver, but I'll do a presentation on Thursday.
Hope to see you in Vancouver,
Mieke

Alex,
I'm interested in joining in on the discussion as well. I don't know what the best time would be but I'm at the conference Wednesday through Saturday.

Hi all,
We (Carrie Currie and I) at PALS had the idea for anyone who is going to the Evergreen Conference next week in Vancover, B.C. that maybe we should get together for an informal session to begin discussion about how we think cataloging, and more specifically, authorities works and could be changed/enhanced/improved on in the future.
We could also discuss the formation of a roadmp – i.e. what features we would want to see developed and when. Right now things with Authority development seem very haphazard, and it would be great to get more organization over this area.
Another possible discussion item could be the creation of an Evergreen Authorities Task Force to oversee this work, keep track of bugs, submit them to the Evergreen community, etc. It could be made up of mostly catalogers, and perhaps a few develops to translate catalog speak.
Our thought on potential meeting times could be Wednesday at 11 am (opposite the Web Team/Communications Committee meeting), or possibly during the time slot of 3 pm (and opposite Contributing Code to Evergreen). We think the Discoveries in Digital Humanities: How Evergreen Contributes session was cancelled.
Please let us know your thoughts on this idea and if you would be willing to meet during the conference and at which times.
Carrie Currie and I will both be at the Evergreen conference, the entire week.
