Alex,
ESI produces end-user documentation as part of any features we create under
contract, and this ( http://www.esilibrary.com/esi/docs/?p=771 )
seems relevant. It looks like it's been largely incorporated into the
community documentation at
http://docs.evergreen-ils.org/2.3/_authorities.html as well. There are
other authority features (subfield-0 bib linking, auto-update of linked
bibs on authority change, MARC editor integration, etc) but I don't recall
how well those are documented.
