[Evergreen-catalogers] Overlaying records--Merge rather

Good afternoon catalogers, 

 

I understand what you are talking about. I had noticed for quite a while in
merging records, that is what happens. It would be great if there was some
kind of setting to retain some of those fields.

Hello Evergreen Catalogers,

 

Im double-checking my notes from the Conference in Vancouver (great one
BTW!) and I have a note saying that merging a record doesn't merge MARC
fields. It only merges copies. Is this true?

 

If one wanted to merge, they would need to copy & paste fields into the
preferred record and then merge copies. Is this correct?
