[Evergreen-catalogers] Acquisitions Bug of the Month - February

The Acquisitions Interest Group decided at the Evergreen Conference in  
April 2016 to try a new form of member engagement.  Rather than  
holding quarterly meetings on irc each month an acquisitions bug will  
be featured in an email to this list.  This will bring more exposure  
to some of the acquisitions bugs that have a large impact on  
acquisitions libraries and their workflows and allow acquisitions  
staff to engage as time permits, rather than at a specified time.

Get involved by testing your system for the bug, indicating on  
Launchpad if you're affected by the bug, and commenting on Launchpad  
or through the list if you have further information about the bug or  
suggestions about what you'd like to see in a fix.

BUG - Acq - Totals in funds do not round to two decimal places when  
prorating is used

DESCRIPTION OF BUG

In the acquisitions module you can prorate charges on an invoice.   
Prorating divides the charge amongst all the funds used on the invoice  
based on the portion of the invoice that will be paid by a particular  
fund.   When this division is done Evergreen rounds to 8 decimal  
points rather than the 2 customary when working with money.

Rounding to 8 decimal points causes messy and confusing displays on  
invoices, and in the Fund and Funding Source interfaces.

Evergreen 2.2 through 2.11

DESIRED RESOLUTION / FIX

For acquisitions Evergreen should use math that recognizes that money  
should be rounded to 2 decimal points.
