Hi Catalogers,

I'd strongly encourage you to participate in bug squashing day. There are
several cataloging bugs ready for you to test, and I'd like to highlight a
few to help ramp up the excitement!

* https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/1333893 -- this would be very
fun to test, because you'd get to delete a bunch of things!
* https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/1724965 -- make sure that some
missing columns have been added to the copy buckets interface
* https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/1752665 -- an issue with
electronic resource ##URI## records showing up as physical call numbers in
the holdings editor
* https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/1739293 -- this bib record
merge-related bug has a lot of "heat"
* https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/1780639 -- support for a sweet
new linked data-related MARC field (the 758)
* https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/1789982 -- adds the ability to
create items without a price in the web client
* https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/1803584 -- a fix to the Clear
button in the Holdings Template Editor
* https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/1734775 -- a really important
bug about Item Status

As you can see, there are bugs relating to all sorts of different
cataloging work. Testing proposed bug fixes is a great way to use your
cataloging and Evergreen knowledge to make things better for Evergreen
users worldwide!

Here's a list of proposed cataloging bug fixes that have not yet made their
way into the official Evergreen code:

Hello everyone,

The next community-wide Bug Squashing Week is scheduled for Monday,

March 4 through Friday, March 8, 2019

(Don't worry, you don't need to set aside the entire week to

participate - you can participate however much that you can fit into

your schedule!)

You may participate in Bug Squashing Day by:

   -

   Submitting new bug fixes for reported bugs
   -

   Testing bug fixes that others have submitted (these should have the
   "pullrequest" tag)
   -

   Confirming bug reports that haven't been reviewed yet (this is a great
   way to participate if you're not a coder!)
   -

   Pushing bug fixes into Evergreen (for core committers)
   -

   Assisting with documentation updates
