[Evergreen-catalogers] Record merge history

We recently had an instance where several bib records were each merged
incorrectly.   I undeleted each of the records that should not have been
merged and transferred their holdings back accordingly.

These reinstated records each display a yellow banner showing the merge
history, like this:

This feature is very useful for merged records.  But, if a record that has
been merged is later undeleted/reinstated, shouldn't the database be
updated and this display disappear?

Have others encountered this situation?  Is there a reason to
retain/display this data?
