As we are all preparing for the Evergreen Conference next week, I will be
sending out a series of emails with information for the cataloging
community.
This one is specifically to invite you to join a round table discussion
that my colleague, Rogan Hamby, and I will be leading:
Collecting Ideas: Imagining the Future of Collection Development
Join us for a round table to brainstorm and imagine what tools could be
developed to assist collection development in Evergreen. Bring your
experiences and opinions both to make suggestions and provide feedback on
the ideas from others. Proposals developed during the roundtable will be
logged as wishlist requests in Launchpad.

Who knows a library’s collection better than a cataloger? (rhetorical
question)
Join us to add your cataloger experience to the conversation with ideas
about how best to describe and assess your current collection, investigate
circulation and sharing trends, and identify gaps in the collection to
inform collection development decisions.
You are invited to suggest topics for discussion in advance of the session
by adding notes to this shared document: https://bit.ly/3moWUGp
Can’t make the session? You are welcome to add notes to the shared
document or send us your input via email.
Thank you!
