[Evergreen-catalogers] Storing device info for items

Good afternoon all,

Do you store any specific device info in Evergreen on particular items? Like a serial number or device ID?

We were mulling over the idea of storing the serial number for particular devices like Launchpads and laptops, and where on the item record would be the best place to record that. Has anyone already done something like this?
