I always use the Flat Text Editor and almost never experience a switch from the Flat Text Editor to the Enhanced MARC Editor (and vice versa) after making changes to a MARC record. Most of our staff prefer the Enhanced MARC Editor and similarly don’t experience a switch to the Flat Text Editor.

I would want it to stay in the editor I was using, which is what it does in 3. 13. 5 (NC Cardinal current version). Happy to add heat if you create a bug as I would not want it to load in the enhanced editor -- I rarely if ever use that feature.

Currently, when you click Save Changes after editing a MARC record Evergreen always reloads with the Enhanced MARC Editor, even if you had been using the Flat Text Editor to make your changes.  (I see this in 3.11.1 and in the new MARC editor in 3.14.1)

I don’t do any real cataloguing in Evergreen so want to check with those who do before I report this as a bug in case it’s actually desired behaviour.
