Here's what I've found so far (more experienced folks jump in and correct me please if I'm wrong about anything!):<o:p></o:p></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-left:35.4pt'><o:p> </o:p></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-left:35.4pt'>1. Most obvious way to update an authority is to search for it under 'Manage authorities', select 'Edit' and update the record. <span lang=EN-CA>Editing an authority record in this way WILL update the heading displayed in a bib record where they are linked (there should be a $0 reference).<span style='color:red'>This is the only way to make changes to an existing authority record. Creation can only be produced within the bibliographic record by right clicking and choosing create and edit or create immediately.<o:p></o:p></span></span></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-left:35.4pt'><span lang=EN-CA><o:p> </o:p></span></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-left:35.4pt'>2. Batch updating authority records is not possible using the staff client. We do authority record processing with Marcive. They provide "updated" authority records to us each month.
