The basic idea is to not use the Connexion save file directly with Evergreen. Instead you want to 'export' records from Connexion.</div><div><br></div><div>It's been a while since I last used Connexion but here's what I recall:</div><div><br></div><div>1. There are local save files you can setup -- these are the .db files you are referring to. They store groups of records in the db format Galen mentioned on your computer for easy access. These are really for use just with Connexion.</div><div><br></div><div>2. Either directly while searching, or when using a local save file, from within Connexion there is an option to 'Export' records (F5 shortcut ???). What happens on export is configurable (under options somewhere), but what you want to do is setup the exports to go to a file. Then when you export it will ask to overwrite the file or append to it, with the record(s) you've selected. This export file (which will contain nothing but marc records) can be imported into Evergreen.</div><div><br></div><div>3. If you really want to open the Connexion file in MarcEdit make sure you compile the records into marc afterwards (using the editor -- which will create actual marc records, not marc text representations, which I think is the default if you just 'save'), creating a file that can be imported into Evergreen. Those .db files from Connexion really are database files. Aside from reading them in Connexion you can also use MarcEdit (I believe) to open them up and get the records.
