If you answered this for me before, forgive me, I can't find those emails. I've been looking at our coded value maps but can't figure out how to use anything but the MARC codes in the 008 and 007 fields How do you get to the 3XX fields to use subfields in it? </div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif">What I want to do have is: <i>if record type = a AND 347 $3 = audio-enabled book</i> then the format filter will be the Audio-enabled Book icon. We are addiing <i>347 $3 audio-enabled book</i> to our records as the OCLC records have a variety of terms in 347$b.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif">If I can figure this out then I can do a coded value map for MP3 CD audio books using 347 $b.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif">I also want the book icon to display too. I don't know if anyone is using Wonderbooks yet, but we could add another icon for that if need be. Some show as CD audiobook, some as an e-book, and some are cataloged like Playaways which have the format 'digital media player' in our ILS. </p><p style="margin:6px 0px;font-family:Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;color:rgb(29,33,41);font-size:14px">At the request of one library in our network I've been changing the format to 'digital media player' for ones they own, Vox<span style="display:inline;font-family:inherit"> books or Wonder books that other libraries own have a variety of formats. I've looked at call numbers and shelving locations and these vary from Multi-media to Picture Book.</span></p><div style="display:inline;font-family:Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;color:rgb(29,33,41);font-size:14px"><p style="margin:0px 0px 6px;font-family:inherit">Now to the question. How should these be cataloged in MARC. What goes into the 006, 007, and 008 fields? I am trying to avoid e-book as these are not online resources bu Evergreen seems to pick up the code for electronic resource in the 006 field and combine it with record type for print.</p><p style="margin:0px 0px 6px;font-family:inherit">Do any in this group catalog these? I would like some consistency (I know, hobgoblins at all that) and right now it's pointing to audio even though the book appears to be the primary format. The 300 field also varies.
