I wonder whether anyone ever encountered the issue I experienced on <br>
Vandelay or is able to shed some light on the process behind the scene.<br>

This is my most recent example. I loaded a total of 495 records into a <br>
queue with MatchSet on 035$a + 856$9. On Inspect Queue there were 440 <br>
records with match. I browsed the list. All matches were single match.<br>
<br>
I chose to import all records with Merge On Single Match checkbox <br>
selected. After importing was done, on Inspect Queue, 424 records were <br>
imported. Among the non-imported records, there were 7 records showing <br>
with 2 matches and the rest no match.<br>
<br>
It looks to me records were re-matched during the importing process, <br>
which I think is good.<br>
<br>
I am concerned of the matching result difference. Given the short <br>
interval between the loading and importing and the MatchSet on 856$9 <br>
(limiting to records owned by one library), it is highly unlikely that <br>
changes in the database could cause the difference. I checked the 7 <br>
double matches. None of the records was created after the queue was <br>
created and all matches were correct.<br>

So my assumption is the matching during the importing process was not <br>
accurate.<br>
<br>
It would be very helpful if someone can shed some light on how <br>
Vandelay handles the matching.<br>
