+**Prerequisites**
+Recommended software to edit is Photoshop or GIMP.  Anything else that can open a Photoshop PSD and handle its layers will also work!
+
+**Editing Icon Layer**
+To create a new icon, only the "Icons" layer should be edited.  This will allow for proper outlining/shadowing of the icon.  You can paste text, clip art, etc. into this layer.
+
+**Editing Colors**
+There are two layers which need modified in order to change the color scheme of the icon.  "Base Shape" and "Gradient".  I recommend using the "Colorize" feature in your editing suite to preserve the gradient and limit aliasing of edges.

+**Note**
+Make sure to re-size the image prior to export.   Recommended size is 32x32 px.
