<div>Hi everyone!</div><div><br></div><div>The next Evergreen community Bug Squashing Week will take place next week from March 15-19. <br></div><div><br></div><div><b>Goals for Testers:</b></div><div><ul><li><b>Cleanup #webstaffclient: </b>There are <a href="https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bugs?field.tag=webstaffclient" target="_blank">476 reported bugs that have the webstaffclient tag</a>, and that tag is no longer very useful as it used to be because nearly everything is using the web-based staff client now. This week, let's focus on going through those bugs, removing the webstaffclient tag, and replacing it with one or more <a href="https://wiki.evergreen-ils.org/doku.php?id=dev:lp_tags" target="_blank">official tags</a> that are more specific. (Many of the open bugs already have other tags that are fine, so for those, just delete the webstaffclient tag. We just don't want to leave any bugs hanging with *no* tags, because then they aren't as discoverable.) As you are going through them, please add heat if they affect you, or make note of any that have already been fixed in other work. <br></li><li><b>Test proposed fixes: </b>Thanks to MOBIUS, Equinox, and PINES, we will have <a href="https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1wCOjCAfG82ZLpCQckPmCbrUrpZZuCcZF7ECQJKQgc0c/edit#gid=0" target="_blank">several community test servers</a> updated to the current Evergreen version with patches loaded and ready for testing. If you find errors with the proposed fix, make detailed notes of those errors at the relevant Launchpad link. If the proposed fix tests successfully, follow the <a href="https://wiki.evergreen-ils.org/doku.php?id=dev:bug_squashing" target="_blank">signoff instructions</a>. <br></li><li><b>"New" bugs and wish list requests:</b> Review bugs with the <a href="https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bugs?field.searchtext=&orderby=-importance&search=Search&field.status%3Alist=NEW&field.status%3Alist=TRIAGED&assignee_option=any&field.assignee=&field.bug_reporter=&field.bug_commenter=&field.subscriber=&field.structural_subscriber=&field.tag=&field.tags_combinator=ANY&field.has_cve.used=&field.omit_dupes.used=&field.omit_dupes=on&field.affects_me.used=&field.has_patch.used=&field.has_branches.used=&field.has_branches=on&field.has_no_branches.used=&field.has_no_branches=on&field.has_blueprints.used=&field.has_blueprints=on&field.has_no_blueprints.used=&field.has_no_blueprints=on" target="_blank">"New" status</a>: Verify the reported problems and mark them confirmed, <a href="https://wiki.evergreen-ils.org/doku.php?id=dev:lp_tags" target="_blank">add tags</a> to make them more discoverable, or mark duplicates if they had already been reported. <br></li><li><b>Old bugs and wish list requests: </b>Test <a href="https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bugs?orderby=id&start=0" target="_blank">old bugs</a>
