*November Program: *

*Intro to MarcEdit*

Presented by Kate Coleman, Technical Services Manager, Jefferson County
Library (Missouri Evergreen Consortium) and Mary Llewellyn, Database
Manager (Bibliomation, Inc.)



MarcEdit is a free MARC editing utility available as a downloadable
software suite for metadata translation and editing. Originally developed
by Terry Reese in 1999, he continues to regularly update and support the
software for the greater library community. Kate and Mary will provide an
introduction on how they use MarcEdit when working with MARC records in
their libraries.



*This will be our last official meeting of the year!!  *

We’ll provide updates on a few topics, including notes from our Hack-A-Way
discussions, in our usual opening sections of the agenda. If you have
announcements you would like to include, please let me know.



*Evergreen Conference Proposals*

Proposals are still being accepted for the 2023 Evergreen Conference.  *Do
you have a topic you would like to see discussed and presented at the
conference?*  Please send a note to the cataloging listserv!  We want to
make sure there are lots of options for catalogers next year!!



We are looking forward to our discussion this month and we hope to see you
there!



The Cataloging Interest Group meets on the second Tuesday of each month.
