The skill set needed is honestly a willingness to participate at a higher level in the consortium, to represent both your library and other EG libraries in the same class (A,B,C), and the ability to attend virtual and/or in-person meetings.  The executive committee meets every other month in person at various libraries near the center of the state (mostly) and has a virtual option.  Members must attend in-person at least twice a year.  The other committees meet virtually via Zoom.

In terms of what a board member needs to do, most of it is conceptual and involves gaining an understanding of general library workflows and needs as well as the willingness to work collaboratively and help make consensus based decisions.
