[Evergreen-reports] Purchase Alert Report Source

Hi Beth,

In my experience, the Hold/Copy Ratio per Bib Source pulls data for the
whole system, though admitted I have not played with that particular source
in a while. I have built two reports using the Hold Request source that
have taken the place of the Purchase Alert report we had in Web Reporter
while we were on Horizon. The first is a report that lists titles that the
library does not own that have active holds placed by the library's patrons.
This is how it's set up:

Source: Hold Request

Base Filters

Hold Request :: Fulfillment Date/Time

Hold Request :: Capture Date/Time

Hold Request :: Currently Frozen

Hold Request :: Hold Cancel Date/Time

Raw Data

Is NULL

Hold Request -> Bib Record link -> Target Bib Record -> Call Numbers ->
Copies :: Circulating Library

Author (Hold Request -> Bib Record Link -> Target Bib Record -> Simple
Record Extracts :: Author (normalized))

The second lists items that the library owns that have more than 5 holds
placed by their patrons. This lets the library know if they need to buy any
additional copies.

Base Filters

Same as above.

Aggregate Filters

Operator

Value

Hold Request :: Hold ID

Count Distinct

Greater than or equal to

5 (Note: You could leave this blank to allow libraries to define their own
value)

Display Fields

Same as above, but also includes:

Data Type

Transform

# of Copies (Hold Request -> Bib Record link -> Target Bib Record -> Call
Numbers -> Copies :: Copy ID)

ID

Count Distinct

I hope this is helpful! If anyone else has reports that do similar things,
please feel free to share.

Thanks,

Jessica

Subject: [Evergreen-reports] Purchase Alert Report Source

When I run a purchase alert report (source=Hold/Copy Ratio per Bib) I am
getting confusing output. Can anyone tell me whether the Holdable Copy
Count is the count by library or the system-wide count?

Thank you.
