[Evergreen-reports] RIG Meetings in 2024

Hi all,

First of all, I want to express my appreciation for Elizabeth for convening
the Reports Interest Group while I was out on maternity leave. She did an
excellent job and I am so grateful! I'm happy to report she has agreed to
assist with future meetings. If anyone else is interested in helping with
meeting planning going forward, let me know!

Our first RIG meeting in 2024 will take place on January 31st. Elizabeth
and I have settled on the topic of running SQL queries on the auditor
tables. Tables in the auditor schema show updates that have occurred on
other tables in the database, what user account performed the update, and
at what workstations the update was performed. These schemas are not
exposed to the reporter, so database access is necessary in order to use
them. Not all database tables have an auditor table, but enough do that
they can be quite useful for admins and support staff that are asked to
look at when an update took place and by whom. In our consortium, we've
used them to look up how an item got to be in a particular status and what
changes have been made to hold and circ rules. The can also be used to look
up patron, org unit, and bib record edits.

If anyone has any examples of information they would like to try to look up
in the auditor tables, send them my way and I can try to prepare more
sample queries for the meeting.
