I run reports every month to pull statistics for the previous month. I have been running these reports manually, and I started looking into a way to set them up to run automatically. However, I haven’t come up with a solution yet.

What I’ve been doing for my monthly reports is pulling the needed information manually, using the Date transform and the Between operator to specify the beginning and ending dates for the report. I was hoping I could find a way to set
up recurring reports to replace the manual reports. After checking with our consortium folks, the suggestion was to use Age as the transform. But Age appears to be defined as 30 days. When I tested a recurring report for December statistics using Age, I
set it to run in the wee hours of January 1, but the output missed activity that occurred on December 1. I tested a few more reports for February, but running those late in the day on Feb. 28 picked up activity in January.

The other problem I see with using Age is that if there’s a problem and the automated reports fail to run at the specified time, when they do run, they’ll pull information for the wrong days.

I have not seen anything in the Evergreen documentation that specifically defines the Age transform, or that explains how to set up monthly reports that pull information for a specific month, no matter how many days are in the month. Do
any of you have monthly recurring reports working? If so, can you tell me how I should set them up?
