I think we agreed on topics at our last meeting, but I do not have blocks of text ready to deliver. I will work on that today.

Meaning...there isn't really any doubt about people wanting this to be the future of the Evergreen website. So we probably need to think strategically about how we can most effectively move forward, get the bones of this website as close to ready as can, involve more people as much as possible, and start moving content. The sooner this can be the face of Evergreen, the better....that's my impression.

Our plan so far was to get all the things working, test and review content migration, etc., get the website approved and go live with it after that. If we want to move quickly, we should be looking at a phased roll-out. We would need to decide must-have content and features for phase 1, focus on that, and leave the rest for next phases after the must-have portions of the new site are live. This may mean that portions of the new site will have to coexist with portions of the old site for some time. Is that possible? If yes, is it acceptable?

Apart from telling people about work that's been done so far, I think we need to get some agreement about the must-have areas for initial roll out, come up with the go-live date and then have the web team focus on those areas and involve those who maintain that content now to meet the deadline. I will write a list for what I imagine is doable in 2-3 months and run it by this group later today. This probably means that we focus on high-level and high-use areas, like overall presentation (graphics, typography, layout) and pages like the main landing page, downloads, etc., and skip more "difficult" sections to be dealt with in future phases.
