Thanks, that got me a step further.
I think what I'm seeing in 1.0.3.2 is that opensrf.xml rules, but the
example files don't yet reflect that. Or maybe I got something wrong
in the installation process. Anyway, I copied my openils.xml to
opensrf.xml,
and that started a bunch of open-ils services that had been missing
before.
[A sideline to my main symptoms: it was more complicated than that. I had
naively tried reducing <min_children> to 1 in the cases where it was 5.
Seemed
OK at first, but that's because I made the change in a config file that
wasn't
being used. When I started actually using it, it made opensrf-c crash. And
this
time, when I enabled core dumps to check out the crash, I got 700+ core
files!
Not to mention the system load going up to 70 :-(
Anyway, restoring the min_children value to what the example file
suggested got
rid of the crash. I still get 700+ processes, though. Really?!?]
Anyway, the org_tree_js.pl step in autogen.sh that failed before now runs.
But the next step, org_tree_html_options.pl, fails with a perl error:
+ perl org_tree_html_options.pl ../conf/bootstrap.conf
/var/www/openils/var/web/
opac/extras/slimpac//lib_list.inc

At this point, I give up for the time being; it's taken too long to
get this running, and we need to consider other options.
Thanks for the help getting me this far! (And I may be back ...)
