[OPEN-ILS-DEV] Problems Starting Evergreen

Thanks for the suggestions. The short answer is yes. Long answer is, I
noted that as soon as make install finished, the printout suggested doing
that, but I saw that the instructions didn't do it until near the end of
step 23, so I waited until that point to do it. I didn't think that would
make a difference... Would it? At any rate, it was done before I tried to
start the system. Just in case, I tried doing that again just now, and
restarting, but no change.

Anything else I should check?

Karen

Evergreen. Below is what it says. Advice please? I'm not sure why the
inability to open the log file, but what I'm more concerned about are the
Jabber errors "no one to send my message too!!!" Any idea what might need
to be fixed and how? I followed the instructions on the wiki for installing
on Ubuntu 7.04 very closely, changing only to accommodate for the changes
between 1.2.0 rc 1 and earlier versions. I also had to choose between the
default configuration options vs those suggested in the instructions a
couple of times. I took detailed notes of everything I did during install
if that would help someone help me diagnose the problem. I can also use
those notes to help update instructions on the wiki to work with 1.2.0 rc1,
once I finally get this thing running.

Hi Karen:

Did you remember the following command after "make install":

sudo chown -R opensrf:opensrf /openils

?
