I'm happy to report that I have an operational test system.  Thank you 
all for your assistance. 

Now I just need to grab a batch of test data so I have something to work 
with.  Does anyone have any utilities handy to populate the catalog and 
patron databases from external data?

My to do list includes trying out the SIP interface with spare 3M 
self-check I've got in a closet.
