[OPEN-ILS-DEV] No luck loading Net::Z3950 on Fedora C6

Hi,

We ran into the same problems yesterday and installed Z3950 Zoom in the 
hope that would work, but turns out that it likely won't. Now, I'll go 
back to banging away Net::Z3950 by hand to see if I have more luck.

Is there any reason that the older Z3950 module is used when the README 
for that module tells you not to use it, but to use Zoom instead? I 
might look into what it would take to switch the the newer module.

Today, I plan to activate Postrgres and jabberd and start on the actual 
Evergreen installation. Yesterday was spent mostly assembling the 
prerequisites.

BTW, I'm trying to get this all working on FreeBSD. I seen no reason so 
far that it shouldn't work, other than issues with Net::Z3950 and yazwrap.
