Rene, I was stuck at exactly the same point yesterday. For me it related

to "localhost" versus "FQDN" entries between my Postgres and openils 
configs. I fixed it based on the following advice from Dan Wells:

"You should add this line to your pg_hba.conf file:

host    all    all    198.54.80.26/32   md5 (substitute with your IP)
