I tend to agree, and if you'd like me to hold off then that's fine.
Or, if you like, I can just put them somewhere sensible in CVS and you
can integrate them into autotools from there. Either way, if we want
to lean on autotools then we might want to just consider a 'ports'
directory as a holding pen for this kind of thing. Thoughts?
