Ryan,

This is the first time that I have heard of this.  As with all open source 
efforts, you are encouraged to report back success and failures and work with 
the developers to improve the body of work that is made available to you for 
free.  

As I wrote in my readme.txt file, if you have problems, please send me email.  
I have worked with a number of folks on my own dime and time to help them 
install Evergreen on their systems.  I am more than willing to help others 
get Evergreen installed.  Please contact me off list for help if you would 
like to get Evergreen installed on a Debian system.
