You're correct--my bad.  I'd set things to look in /usr/lib/dbd instead
of /usr/local/lib/dbd

Hi Mark:

Sorry to hear that you're running into trouble. I _think_ it's actually
the same answer as I gave back in June
(http://libmail.georgialibraries.org/pipermail/open-ils-dev/2007-June/00
1379.html)
- you have to build libdbi and the lidbdbi-drivers (which is what gives
you libdbdpgsql.so) from source.

for instructions for installing Evergreen on Ubuntu 7.10.

As an aside, http://packages.ubuntu.com/gutsy/libs/libdbd-pgsql shows
that the gutsy (Ubuntu 7.10) libdbd-pgsql package is still stuck back at
0.7.1.3, while the release required for Evergreen is 0.8.2. So the
latest may not be the latest and greatest :)

One final suggestion: I had good success installing all the
prerequisites for EG 1.2 on Ubuntu 7.10 by running Bill's
Makefile.install makefile at
http://svn.open-ils.org/trac/ILS/browser/trunk/Open-ILS/src/extras/Makef
ile.install
