[OPEN-ILS-DEV] Vmware image reverse proxy

Hi I have a server that I set up and I want to use a reverse proxy with the vmware image I set the reverse proxy up and the apache on the vmware gives the following error 
Proxy Error
The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request GET /.

Reason: Max-Forwards has reached zero - proxy loop?

How can I fix this?
