Have you tried running settings-tester.pl out of the source distribution?
./Open-ILS/src/support-scripts/settings-tester.pl

Run it as user opensrf while OpenSRF is running.

Also, I'm a big pusher of this page:

If you're lucky, it may just be your ~/.srfsh.xml file not being
configured correctly.
