Hi guys,

is there any difference between the upgrade process in 1.4 and in 1.6
series?

In releases from 1.4 series it is possible to install the appropriate
version of opensrf first and the new version of Evergreen afterwards,
with database being the only component which needs to be updated step by
step.

The manual for version 1.6 says:
"If you are currently on a version before 1.6.0.2, make sure you follow
the upgrade instructions for all previous releases up to 1.6.0.2."

Has something else in Evergreen been changed so that the upgrade of the
whole system (one revision after another) would be required to perform
the upgrade from the current to the target version (in my case from
1.6.0.1 to 1.6.0.3), or is it possible to use the methods from 1.4
series (which I did like, indeed :-), i.e., to perform the step-by-step
upgrade only in case of the database?
