Hi June,

You may want to look at some additional troubleshooting steps here http://www.open-ils.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=troubleshooting:checking_for_errors.

I wonder if the OpenSRF service did not get properly shut down at some point in the process.  In my limited experience with the system, if OpenSRF isn't cleanly shut down then when it gets restarted it thinks many processes are still running and doesn't start them up.  Step 1 of the troubleshooting link above has information on this problem and removing *.pid files to allow OpenSRF to fully and correctly start up.

Hi Folks

 

We’re following the documentation from the dokuwiki Installing
OpenSRF 1.2.0.     We’ve gone up through step #12
in the document.    We have all the services starting up without
errors.    But, when we try the testing in step #13, we get an
error 

 

opensrf at evergreentest:~$ /openils/bin/srfsh

srfsh# request opensrf.math add 2 2

Unable to communicate with service opensrf.math

srfsh#

 

The last thing suggest posting to the list with the relevant
config and log files.     I’ve  attached the
configuration files that were edited during the install, as well as log
files.     The router log is enormous, here’s the
tail.
