Yamil,

There's a global setting (which you're probably already set on using),
"Cat: Use Internal ID for TCN Value" (under Admin -> Server
Administration -> Global Flags), that would make TCN and record id
essentially identical, at least for records that have come under the
sway of the setting.  I think you'd need to do munging of records that
existed prior to the setting being enabled, but I'm not sure.

Hiding the menu options is possible, but would move you away from
stock clients unless we figured out extensions (Thomas?).
