Greetings,

The Evergreen Oversight Board has designed a half-day facilitated
session primarily - though not exclusively - for resource allocators
in the Evergreen community. The session is scheduled for Tuesday,
March 18th and will focus on common cause with respect to Evergreen's
strategic development.

~20 people, including 9 from the Board, will gather to work through
the agenda below. The confirmed attendee list appears at bottom. We
are pleased that Cindy Roach will be our facilitator for this session.
Cindy is the Head of Library Advisory and Development for the
Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners (MBLC), which is the
agency that authorized the grant that created MassLNC. She previously
served as the administrator for the Southeastern Massachusetts Library
System (SEMLS) where she often served in a consulting role for library
directors and trustees and frequently facilitated planning sessions
for these groups.

Participants have been asked to think about the questions that appear
in the agenda, and to consider if their are other environmental issues
that are relevant to the intent of the session.

AGENDA
a) Introductions + Ice Breaker

b) Learn of common cause - growing Evergreen together

-Discussion of recent successful pooled development approaches as
examples of the reciprocal benefits achieved through shared funding,
focussed on co-created Statements of Work for Evergreen's development
-Grants research update and potential parallels
-Merchandising update
-Hack-A-Way update

c) Moving forward; shared, coordinated approaches are both possible
and essential for the future:

-Identification of key institutional/jurisdictional/conceptual/legal
impediments to shared funding approaches
-Identification of dis-incentives if not already identified
-Identification of low hanging fruit
-identification of best practice models to emulate

d) Wrap up & next steps

A fulsome summary report and action plan will be shared broadly soon
after the session.
All the best!
