[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] feature question

Although we haven't yet created a detailed spec, UPEI has been
discussing an integration between Evergreen and Fedora, which is the
digital repository system we use. It would likely work in a similar
fashion to our Google Books tweak, which is a mash-up of sorts where
the Google Book content appears in a tab in the Evergreen OPAC when
applicable. It would be simple to do something similar for items in
the OPAC with a digital equivalent in Fedora, so that will probably
come first. The next step would be to determine how to best provide a
search interface that combines both the Evergreen bib data and the
Fedora metadata/fulltext content (indexed in Lucene). Having said
that, any of the emerging Solr/Lucene based OPAC interfaces would
handle this with ease.
