Is this after the \i ~/gutenberg.sql step?

Seems to be needing a COMMIT;

So you should enter after you get the # prompt back.  I think some
versions of pg_loader may have put in the COMMIT; in the sql and
others do not.  I'm not sure what the current practice is.
