We are in the process of migrating to Evergreen, so I am working on our project plan as well. I would also be interested in seeing what others did for their plan.

But here are the steps we have done/are working on so far:

* Analyze current data and decided what to migrate.
* Discussed any initial policy changes with our member libraries and gained their approval.
* Clean up current data to facilitate migration
     * Notify patrons whose cards have expired and purge any that do not renew
     * Purge old bills (paid and unpaid)
     * Purge old on-order/in-process items
     * Purge lost/missing items
     * Encourage members to inventory their collections
     * Purge items that have been in-transit a long time (a.k.a. items that are now missing)
     * Purge legacy data from last migration

Subject: [OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Project Plan

Hi All,
I am starting to put together a project plan for an Evergreen
implementation. Before I reinvent the wheel, I'm wondering if anyone
on this list has created a task list for an implementation, such as
one might use with formal project management software like MS Project.
If so, I'd live to see what you came up with. Any format would be
great; I'm actually using OmniPlan.
