I think it is better to post the results from my settings-tester.pl script. Here

Checking database drivers to ensure <driver> matches <language>

Checking libdbi and libdbi-drivers
  * OK - found locally installed libdbi.so and libdbdpgsql.so in shared library
path

Checking hostname
 * OK: found hostname 'localhost' in <hosts> section of opensrf.xml
opensrf at lib02:~/Evergreen-ILS-1.4.0.4/Open-ILS/src/support-scripts$

If i start the opensrf services there are no error messages and i am able to
view the web opac both on the local machine and on remote machines. Help me
guys.
